The Arkansas Department of Education is implementing a new initiative called High Reliability Schools. Each district that participates will have to devise a plan to implement highly effective instructional strategies to improve student achievement, daily instruction, and test scores. The Mineral Springs School District will be holding teacher faculty meetings to determine how they are going to implement the new instructional strategies. Due to this, Mineral Springs schools will be dismissing at 2:30 each Wednesday, starting today.
Superintendent Thelma Forte says they will be moving into the new school building in August and look forward to adding these additional instructional strategies.
