Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson spoke at Thursday’s annual Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce banquet. President Will Martin opened the event and recognized the chamber officers and immediate past president Ricky Branch. Awards included Volunteer of the Year- CADC volunteers Marlene Steen, Sally and Jim McKinnon, John Cothren and Ronnie McKinnon. The Rattler of the Year award recipient was Gena Corson. The Educator of the Year award went to Alma Barnes. Malaya Graham is the Student of the Year. New Business awards included Britt’s Place, The Boro, Trunk of Treasures and the Dusty Attic. Kevin Fant and his family also accepted an award on behalf of SWAHA Lodge and Marina.
Rina Fugitt won the logo contest.
