The Nashville Parks and Recreation Commission met last week. Director Mark Dale stated that the soccer deadline originally set for August 23rd would be extended to September 6th in order to give players more time to get signed up with school recently starting back.
In other business, Dale said that to enhance tournament play in the park, the least used baseball field could be turned into a skin field and used for both softball games and baseball games with a portable mound. A motion was made to skin Tyson Field and unanimously approved.
The park is currently taking sign ups for a community wide yard sale, which will be held at the park on September 14th. Call 870-845-7405 for more information.
