The Nashville Fire Department responded to a residential fire Sunday morning at the corner of south Ansley Street and east Hill Street. Fire Chief Justin Thornton says the department received the page at 7:45 and responded with three trucks. The homeowner, Eric White, was able to get out safely. Thornton says firefighters were on scene about an hour and were able to contain the fire to one room. He says the fire appeared to be suspicious and that the police department was called to investigate.
Chief Thornton says the Nashville Fire Department also responded to a breaker box fire on Saturday at 11:57 a.m. at a residence on North Main Street.
