Nashville Graduates to enter Military

A handful of Nashville graduates have plans to enter the military. Some of those graduates are still working to fulfill requirements, however two we are highlighting will enter very soon.

Kimberly Bell will be joining the U.S. Army and leaves May 28th. “I made this decision mainly because I want to serve my country…because I had family that fought in WWII and I would like to do that for the younger generations. I have 9 weeks of basic training and then ten weeks of job training. My job is a patriot missile launcher.”

Devonte’ Neal will also leave July 23 to enter the National Guard to train as a combat engineer. “My plans are to stay in it and have an eight year contract. I plan on also going to the U of A at Fayetteville and major in marketing. My grandfather was in the military for a very long time and I wanted to follow in his footsteps.”

Around 120 received diplomas at Sunday’s graduation ceremony at Nashville High School.
