The Nashville School Board hired Kyle Slayton to serve as Nashville Junior High School’s assistant principal during a special meeting on Thursday, July 25. Superintendent Doug Graham said Slayton’s duties would still include head baseball coach, however he will not serve as an assistant football coach. Slayton has 22 years of experience as a middle school educator, 17 years at Nashville. The position had ten applicants and four were interviewed.
The board also held a budget workshop to review the 2019-2020 budget and also reviewed federal and categorical funds. The budget will be finalized at the August board meeting.
