Nashville school administrators hosted a special meeting for patrons of the district on Tuesday to discuss any needs or concerns, as plans are made for future projects.
Superintendent Doug Graham says discussion included topics such as school security, technology and fine arts.
Howard County Sheriff Bryan McJunkins says several regional schools have hired a school resource officer, including Dierks. The sheriff’s department also assists in providing an SRO at Umpire.
Superintendent Graham noted the district has not had a tax increase since 1992, when the millage was raised from 29 to 31 to build the elementary school.
Participants of the meeting completed a survey at the conclusion of the event and the information will be reviewed as the school administration considers what future projects should take priority.
