The annual Nashville High School band banquet took place on Saturday.
Sectional awards included woodwind Isaiah Martin, brass Brody King, percussion Bailey Dewalt, and color guard Brooklyn Dinkins (Dinkins- who has just been selected to participate in the Ouachita Baptist University flag line). Alberto Piquinto received an outstanding performance award and Katie Carroll received the director’s award.
Class awards included freshmen Alayna Cook, sophomore Quinlan Reed, junior Jonathan Rauch, and senior Isabelle Martin.

Louie Armstrong Jazz Award- Garrett Talley
Bandsmen Award/Outstanding Service- Jacob Martin, Billy Ryan, Brayden Ross, Noriah Jordan, Abbie Lamb.
Oustanding improvement award- Jackson Manlee, Ahniya Williamson, Kara Connell, and Nevaeh Jordan.
espirit de corps award- Dawson Henthorn
Seniors include Kristin Boone, Katie Carroll, Bailey Dewalt, Brooklyn Dinkins, Robert Easley, Katelyn Hipp, Nevaeh Jordan, Brody King, Isabelle Martin, Shycoby O’Donnell, and Garrett Talley.
Band Booster President Jim Bob Lamb also recognized both senior high director Sara Jo Morris and junior high director Alex Goff. Morris says the band had a great year.
Morris is leaving the band program this year, she received a special recognition from the booster club for her excellent leadership. She has been the high school band director for the past seven years.
The spring band concert will be this Thursday, May 2nd at Scrapper Arena at 6 p.m.
