Southwest Arkansas Radio Radio Stations KMTB, KNAS and KBHC in Nashville, Arkansas
Officers with the Prescott Police Department and the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office executed a Search Warrant on a residence and vehicle on January 15th, in the city limits of Prescott. The execution of the Search Warrant was successful in revealing approximately $18,700.00 in counterfeit US Currency, all in the denomination of $100 bills. There have been two arrests in association with the counterfeit money, with more expected to come.
The Prescott Police Department would like to encourage businesses to be cautious when taking US Currency, as it is believed that some of this counterfeit money is still out there and may be used to buy merchandise.
