The Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation has awarded a $4, 075 Lowe’s Toolbox for Education® grant to Nashville High School to help convert part of a classroom into a Robotics Lab.
Nashville High School is one of 545 schools across the United States to be awarded a Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grant this spring for improvement projects.
An existing classroom will be upgraded with workbenches, power and hand tools, a CNC router, a 3D printer, and computers to run the equipment. This new lab will provide students with the opportunity to get “hands on” in the STEM field and use computers and computer programming to design and construct robotics projects.
The project is scheduled to be completed before the end of the 2018-19 school year.
