Okay Community Baptist Church, 301 Okay Road near Saratoga, will have its 73rd Anniversary Sunday, September 8th. Sunday School at 10 am, morning service at 11, followed by dinner at the church. (Evening service at 5 pm.) For information, call 870-388-9200.
The church was organized September 8th, 1946 in the meeting hall above the Okay Company Store. In 1948, it built a building a few yards up a sidewalk from the company store. In the early 1960s, an addition was made to the building during the first tenure of Brother Charles Jones as pastor. Jones is again the pastor and will bring the message. The church will provide dinner at noon, and everyone is invited.
