Prescott School Shooting

A Prescott School District student has been apprehended by law enforcement after allegedly bringing a concealed handgun to campus and shooting another student.

According to a press release from the school district, they immediately went into lockdown and the school resource officer was able to assist.

The Prescott School District is fully cooperating with the ongoing law enforcement investigation. The press released stated that it appears this was a premediated attack specifically targeting the injured student, who was airlifted to a medical facility for immediate treatment. The injured student’s medical status will be released if and when approved by the family.

No other injuries were reported. Prescott released classes until Tuesday.
