Remains Identified as Missing Houston Girl

Human remains found in Hempstead County on Friday, May 31st have been identified as four year old Maleah Davis of Houston. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences verified the identification on Monday. Officials said the cause and manner of her death have not yet been determined.

Law enforcement on Friday located a black garage bag emitting a foul odor, near the Fulton Interstate 30 exit, during a search.

Darion Vence, the ex-fiance of Maleah’s mother, is charged with tampering with a human corpse in connection to Maleah’s disappearance a month ago.
