Restoration Project at Former Bus Station

The Howard County Historical Society restoration project at the former fire department building in Nashville continues. The structure also includes the former Continental Trailways bus station. A restored bench from one of the old service stations located on Main Street in Nashville has been placed in front of the building. Rooms in the fire station also now have items dating back to the 1940s and 1950s. Photos and other items from the fire department will continue to be added. An open house is planned for this fall.

The historical society is also working on an additional project, that will provide a display from the Dierks area. Historical Society President Freddie Horne says more details will be released soon. For more information or questions, contact Horne at 870-451-4288.
