Rural Fire Protection Membership Available Near Murfreesboro

The city of Murfreesboro recently passed an ordinance that has allowed the Murfreesboro Volunteer Fire Department to enact a Rural Fire Protection Membership. The membership will allow residence and/or property owners within the Murfreesboro Fire District to pay a low annual membership fee of $35 per 911 address. Fire Chief Randy Lamb says this fee will cover all charges that may be accrued for an emergency response or fire call.

The funds that are raised through this rural fire protection membership will be used to help in the expense of operating, maintaining and to make needed improvements to the Murfreesboro Fire Department and the Lake Greeson Sub Station.

Payments can be dropped off at the Murfreesboro City Hall or contact Randy Lamb for more information at 870-285-1792.
