School Election Candidate Filings

Following the candidate filing deadline for the May school election, there will be a race in zone 3 of Mineral Springs. The filings provided by the Howard County Clerk’s office includes current seat holder Zemaria Newton and also challenger Kay Thornton. Mike Erwin also filed and will run unopposed.

The two school board seats up for re-election in Nashville each had one filing and will be conducted by early and absentee ballot only. The filings included Nick Britt in zone 1 and Jerry Wilson in zone 4.
