Students in the South Pike County School District scored at or above other Arkansas students on state mandated tests last spring. SPCSD students in grades 3-10 took a combined 32 assessments and outscored the other Arkansas students in 22 of these tests. The district had higher scores than other nearby schools in the area. For the 2018-19 school year, the schools in Delight and Murfreesboro ranked 78th out of 245 Arkansas districts. This is an increase of 29 spots from the previous year. Teachers, students, and administrators have set a new approach to improve test scores. Extra classroom time has been set aside to work on individualized tutoring and learning, due to implementation of the Flex-Mod schedule. All campuses also have numerous opportunities to work with technology with the Apple one-to-one initiative.
