The Mineral Springs School Board met in special session on April 17th. The board adopted the classified minimum hourly wage law, to take effect during the upcoming school year. Board members also adopted a similar minimum hourly wage bill which will require districts to have a starting salary of $36,000. A motion to approve the adoption of another new law increasing the teacher retirement contribution was also approved.
The board accepted the resignation of kindergarten teacher Peggy Fincher. The board also hired Lauren Wilson and Casey Long as kindergarten teachers for the upcoming school year.
