Nashville School Superintendent Doug Graham recognized outgoing board member Mark Canaday at a special meeting held Monday evening. Canaday has served 15 years and also finishes up this year as board president. Superintendent Graham said that Canaday has been an advocate for the students.
Following an executive session, the board approved the following hires: Maddie McRae as junior high teacher and coach, and Jami Branch as junior high art teacher. Graham said McRae is math and science certified and will be assisting with the softball team next season. The following transfers were also approved: Aubrey Basiliere from junior high to ALE instructor, and Elessia Scott from elementary to senior high special education.
