Spring Cleanup Event Results in 28 Loads of Garbage

The city of Nashville Public Works Department collected 28 loads of unwanted items, resulting from the two week spring cleanup event. Public Works Director Larry Dunaway says the cost totaled $875 in landfill fees. He also said that he appreciates the citizens of Nashville participating and helping to cleanup properties. If you missed the cleanup event, you may contact the water office to schedule a pickup. If you would like to rent a dumpster, the cost is $20 per week plus landfill fees. A single item pickup is $10.
