A Stamps woman is facing felony charges following an incident in circuit court this week at Murfreesboro. Officials say Circuit Judge Tom Cooper ordered sheriff’s deputies to place 27 year old Cindy Tatom under arrest Monday for contempt of court. Prosecutors say Tatom attempted to flee the courtroom as Pike County Sheriff’s Deputy Jarrod Reid caught up with her and placed Tatom under arrest. Officials say as Deputy Reid was returning her to the courtroom, Tatom kicked a Department of Human Services Social Worker, leaving marks on that individual.
A warrant for Second Degree Battery has been issued against Tatom.
