Batesville man arrested over flag display on private property

A Batesville man has been charged in connection with a disturbance that resulted from two flags being displayed outside a Glenwood residence this month. 47 year old Keith Allen Bodiford is charged with a felony count of Aggravated Assault and several misdemeanor charges. Bodiford told police he noticed the residence was displaying a President Trump flag and a confederate flag on the front porch. Reports said he stopped to tell the property owners he didn’t feel the display was sending the proper message and planned to ask the owner to remove the confederate flag. Police say a confrontation started when Bodiford allegedly removed the flag and the property owner attempted to get it back. Authorities say Bodiford retreated to his truck and returned with a handgun, pointing it at the property owner. Bodiford was arrested at the residence and transported to the Pike County Jail.
