Brother accused of striking sister; charged with domestic battering
While patrolling on the morning of September 25, Sergeant Ty Basiliere was flagged down on Sypert Street in Nashville by a black female who informed him that her son was beating up her daughter. About the same time, Basiliere was dispatched to an altercation at 703 Graves Street, apartment 130 .
When Basiliere arrived he witnessed 37-year-old Wallace Brown trying to leave the scene in a silver car. Wallace was detained and the victim, 38-year-old Wyquita Brown told Basiliere to arrest her brother for hitting her in the face. Wyquita informed Basiliere that she and Wallace’s girlfriend had been out all night and when they got home, she and Wallace got into a verbal altercation, which led to a physical fight.
Wyquita reported Wallace shoved her back into her car. She said when she tried to get out again, Wallace pulled off her wig and punched her twice in the face.
Wyquita had visible injuries and Wallace Brown was arrested for domestic battering and driving on a suspended driver’s license.
