Bryant man arrested in connection to drive-by shooting in Hope
Hope Police have made an arrest in a drive-by shooting.
Yesterday, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested 18-year-old Bryceston J. Marks of Bryant for one count of murder in the first degree, one county of terroristic act, and four counts of unlawful discharge of a firearm from a vehicle.
The arrest was in connection with a homicide that occurred in the 600 block of South Walnut Street in Hope on May 3rd.
According to the police report, about 12 am officers responded to reports of a person who had been shot. When officer arrived, they discovered a male victim lying on the ground in front of a residence with an apparent gunshot wound. EMS arrived on the scene and transported the victim to Wadley Hospital in Hope where he was later pronounced deceased. The victim has been identificed as 16-year-old Tykendrick Bradford of Hope.
Marks is awaiting his first court appearance at the Hempstead County Detention Facility in Hope.
The investigation is ongoing.
