Christmas activities get underway today in Nashville

Christmas activities get underway today in Nashville. The Nashville Chamber of Commerce is offering Christmas trees along Main Street again this year for you to decorate in honor or in memory of someone. Each tree will cost $35. As in years past, people buying the trees will provide the decorations and the chamber will supply the signage. The number of trees is limited to 50 this year and can be reserved by contacting the city park office at 845-7405. City workers will be in the process this week of setting up the trees.
Christmas Bucks also begins this week. Participating chamber member businesses have registration information inside their stores for the public. A weekly winner, each receiving one hundred dollars, will be selected on the Friday dates of December 4th, 11th, and 18th. The cash prizes will need to be redeemed within a week of winning at the store where the winning name was selected from.
In addition to the trees and Christmas Bucks promotion, the chamber is also hosting a reverse parade December 12th at the city park.
