Mineral Springs man arrested for domestic battery

Domestic Battery charges have been filed against a Mineral Springs resident.  44 year old Carl Leeper was arrested after a female victim was treated at Howard Memorial Hospital for injuries she said were caused by Leeper.  Police reports say the victim had visible injuries.  She told authorities Leeper struck her with a belt, chair and his fists.  The injuries reportedly took place over a two day period.

Leeper was located at a residence and taken into custody.   In addition to the charges that have been filed in Howard County, Leeper was also detained on an outstanding warrant from the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Department on charges of Terroristic Threatening and Domestic Battery.
