City of Dierks applying for grant to fund water and sewer improvements

The city of Dierks is attempting to get grant funding to support water and sewer improvements. At Monday’s council meeting, aldermen approved six resolutions that will allow the city to seek a grant that will fund the projects, which total $299,955 dollars. Mayor Ronnie Cogburn says the city also continues to deal with a water loss issue. However, that problem has been improving in recent weeks.
