City of Mineral Springs hires engineer for wastewater project
The Mineral Springs City Council held their regular monthly meeting Monday.
The Council approved a motion to hire A.L Franks Engineering to do the wastewater improvements project for the city of Mineral Springs.
Principal Engineer Kiron Browning mentioned that they are looking to start this project by 2024. Browning also discussed what the ARPA Grant was covering along with the construction phase of the project.
Once AL Franks Engineering hires the surveyors. They will inspect every inch of the pipes, then AL Franks will go into the design phase and make the plans. Once that is approved AL Franks will move into the bidding process. Browning said this project should be completed by the middle of 2025.
A motion was made by Alderman James Jeans and seconded by Alderman Earl Hadden to hire AL Franks Engineering to do the wastewater improvement project. All were in favor of Mayor Bobby Tullis’ recommendation.
