City of Mineral Springs passed 2021-2022 Water Sewer audit
Aldermen of the Mineral Springs City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday.
During the meeting, the council approved several motions. There was motion made by aldermen Earle Hadden and seconded by Vanessa Hendrix to pick a Bond Council. Mayor Bobby Tullis talked about the reason for creating a Bond Council.
Tullis also discussed millage rates with the council. The city of Mineral Springs current millage rate is 5 mills, which was the max amount.
There was a motion made by alderman Charles Deloney that the millage rate remains at 5 mills and the motion was seconded by alderman James Jean. All were in favor of the motion.
Mayor Tullis also talked about the park lease agreement between the city of Mineral Springs and the Mineral Springs School District.
After further discussion, there was a motion made by aldermen Earle Hadden and seconded by James Jeane to amend the 10-year park lease agreement and be a maximum of 5 years. All were in favor of the motion.
Tullis mentioned ward elections and how proud he was of how the council voted.
Tullis also reported to the council about the water sewer department being audited for the years 2021-2022 and no exceptions were found in the audit. There was motion made by aldermen James Jean and seconded by Earle Hadden to accept the audit. All were in favor of the motion.
