Clark County man charged with drug possession
A Clark County man is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance following his arrest during a traffic stop January 26th in Nashville. Police say 40 year old Reginald Patton, of Arkadelphia, was stopped by Officer Dustin Wakefield for disobeying a traffic light. Patton told officers that he was in a hurry and his brakes weren’t functioning properly. Officer Wakefield said he could detect the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and asked Patton if he had any marijuana. Police say Patton produced a medical marijuana card and told officers that he had smoked the drug earlier in the day. While searching the vehicle police said they recovered the marijuana labeled for medicinal purposes, but also found several pills, believed to be ecstasy. Two marijuana grinders were also recovered.
