CNO discuss goals for HMH
Newly appointed Chief Nursing Officer for Howard Memorial Hospital Christina Stuard spoke to us about her goals as the new CNO. Stuard described what her role will be as CNO and what her job will entail.
Stuard said that she started her nursing career as an LPN and her first nursing job was at HMH. She went to RN School at National Park Community College in Hot Springs and graduated with her Associates of Science Degree and later on she attended Arkansas Tech and obtained her BSN.
Stuard described herself as a people person and a fixer. Stuard expressed what sold her on becoming a nurse was an encounter she had with a nurse that provided care for her grandfather during her younger years.
Stuard concluded by saying she couldn’t have done this without her family and friends because they have always been her biggest support.
