Coach Chesshir Discusses Leadership, Mental Toughness Ahead of 2026 Season

As the Nashville Scrappers continue preparing for the 2026 football season, Head Coach Brad Chesshir says one of the biggest priorities is developing players who are ready to step into larger roles.
During the Preseason Coaches Show, Chesshir talked about the team’s growth and the importance of helping this group continue to improve as the season approaches.
Chesshir said another major focus for the program is continuing to build mental toughness, something he believes will be essential throughout the season.
He also recognized members of his coaching staff, highlighting Defensive Coordinator Tyler Clift and newly promoted Offensive Coordinator Zach Stewart. Chesshir said Stewart has built strong relationships with players over the years, making him a natural fit for his new role.
Chesshir concluded by sharing what he believes makes a great assistant coach, while expressing his appreciation for the dedication and commitment of his coaching staff.
