Columbus Volunteer Fire Department to Host Benefit Auction April 11

Residents will have an opportunity to support local first responders this month, as the Columbus Volunteer Fire Department prepares to host a benefit auction on April 11. The event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., with food and fellowship followed by an auction later in the evening.
Reed Webb spoke about what attendees can expect, starting with the meal that will be served and the timeline for the evening’s events.
Webb also explained the purpose behind organizing the benefit, emphasizing the importance of community support for the fire department.
According to Webb, the department is currently working to rebuild and strengthen its operations. He added that the department will also receive support from the Yancey Fire Department.
