Constitution Week in Murfreesboro
Murfreesboro High School students celebrated Constitution Day on Tuesday, September 17th as Mayor Rodney Fagan proclaimed Constitution Week in the City of Murfreesboro.
According to the State of Arkansas, schools are required to hold a program celebrating the U.S. Constitution. All social studies and history classes are required to discuss topics of freedom the following week. This is all to spread a greater awareness of the way our government works and celebrate the history.
The Constitution Day at MHS involved several student and community participants including the National Anthem being sung, the Pledge of Allegiance, moment of silence, a speaker, and Mayor Fagan.
