Corps Closes Millwood Boat Ramps Because Of High Water
Recent heavy precipitation, coupled with the forecast for additional rain to fall this week, has led the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Millwood Tri-Lakes Project Office to temporarily close access to several boat ramps on Millwood Lake because of high water levels.
The impacted boat ramps are River Run East, River Run West, White Cliffs and Wilton Landing.
The project office is monitoring the water levels and will reopen the ramps when the water recedes.
Southwest Arkansas has seen much above normal rainfall so far in February. In Nashville, nearly four and a half inches of rain has been recorded this month which is about half an inch more than is normally received for the entire month of February.
