Cossatot River State Park Half-Marathon

Cossatot River State Park and Natural Area has announced it will host its annual Half Marathon Trail Run this fall. The yearly trail run has been scheduled for Oct. 23rd from 6am-1pm at the park, located 12 miles east of Wickes on Highway 278. Registration and check-in will kick off at 6am at the Visitor Center. The shuttle to the start line at Brushy Creek is at 7am with the 13.1 mile half-marathon to begin at 8. The park will host a meal at 11am and present awards at 11:45. All area residents are invited to challenge their abilities in the mountainous terrain of the Cossatot River State Park for this 13.1 mile single track trail run. Take your time and enjoy the scenic trail or push yourself to the limits and compete for the top honors. Either way this will be an enjoyable event, park organizers say. T-shirts will be provided to registered runners.
