County Coordinator discussed the need for The CALL in Howard County

Yesterday, members of the Call in Howard County hosted the Howard County’s Lunch Call event at Patacakes to discuss what are the needs of the call.

Holli Boyett, who is the County Coordinator, stated that there is a local mission field here in Howard County with countless opportunities to show the love of Jesus to local children and to local families and that mission field is foster care.

Boyett also stated that right now there are over 4000 children in Arkansas in foster care and less than 1500 open homes to provide care for these children. She also added that the number one reason for children entering foster care in Arkansas is because of neglect.

With the Call there are five ways to engage in Foster Care; open your home, support foster families, volunteer, donate, and pray.

The Call does not receive any state or federal funding for the work they do in recruiting, training, and supporting Christian foster families so they are 100 percent dependent upon the generosity of local donors.
