COVID-19 Cases Decline in Howard County
The number of active COVID-19 cases in Howard County declined over the weekend, but the county has now recorded another virus related death. Sunday’s report from the health department put the county’s COVID-19 death count at four, with the active case total being 64. Of the more than 28 hundred tests that have been given for the virus in Howard County, 12 percent of the results have returned positive, dating back to the first reported case in March.
Among neighboring counties, Little River County has the most active cases, with 70. Sevier County 53, Hempstead County is reporting 37, There are 26 in Pike County, and 13 active cases are reported by the state in Polk County.
