COVID Rental Assistance

Some Arkansans affected by COVID-19 may find themselves eligible for Rental Assistance. 2 DHS programs are now offering rental assistance the first being the Arkansas Rent Relief Program and 2nd being the Emergency Solutions Grant Program. Funding available is intended to help pay overdue and upcoming rent utilities for Arkansas renters. Landlords who have tenants unable to pay their rent may also apply. There is a total of $173 million available for the Arkansas Rent Relief Program. Once you are approved money will go directly to landlords or utility companies.

Overdue rent, gas, water, and electric bills plus late fees may be covered. You can also apply for future rent owed through up to December 31st of this year by doing so 3 months at a time. To see if you qualify and find out more information visit humanservices.arkansas.gov
