Davis named Chief Deputy of HCSO

Howard County Sheriff Bryan McJunkins has announced the promotion of one deputy and the filling of a Criminal Investigator’s position within the sheriff’s department. McJunkins says Investigator Joey Davis has been promoted to the chief deputy’s position. Davis began working as a jailer in 2004 with the department and became a patrol deputy in 2006, before eventually moving into the investigator’s position.
To fill that spot, Sheriff McJunkins says Blake Eudy has returned to the sheriff’s department. Eudy was originally hired as a patrol deputy in 2011 and later moved into an investigator’s position. He left the department to become head of the 9th West Drug Task Force, but has returned to the sheriff’s department as of last week, according to the sheriff.
