De Queen Man Arrested After Domestic Disturbance in Lockesburg

A De Queen man was arrested following a domestic disturbance at a Lockesburg residence that was initially reported as a possible stabbing, according to the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office.
An arrest affidavit states deputies responded July 3 to a home on East Main Street, where they found an adult woman with multiple injuries, including facial scratches and swelling. Investigators allege Krinden Channing Hooper, 36, assaulted the woman during an argument after she returned home.
A juvenile family member reportedly intervened in an attempt to stop the assault and was also injured during the incident.
Deputies later determined Hooper’s injuries, which included several cuts to his side, were consistent with broken glass found throughout the residence rather than a stabbing, according to the affidavit.
Hooper was arrested and charged with third-degree battery and domestic battering in the third degree.
The charges are based on allegations contained in a probable cause affidavit. Hooper is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
