Delight Man Arrested After Drug Bust at Home

A 41-year-old man from Delight was arrested on drug charges following a search of his home on October 23, 2024, by Pike County Deputies.

According to the affidavit, Deputies arrived at 317 Water Street in Delight, the residence of Joseph Viola, and made contact with him. They requested Viola to open the door due to a search waiver, which he complied with. During the search, authorities reported finding a small black box hidden in the drop ceiling of Viola’s bedroom. Inside the box, Deputies discovered one zip-lock bag containing a small amount of marijuana, along with four zip-lock bags of a white, crystal-like substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine. Deputies also seized digital scales, commonly used in the distribution of illegal drugs.

Viola was arrested at the scene and taken to the Pike County Detention Center, where he was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

He is currently being held on a $20,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not ruled out the possibility of additional charges.
