Delight Man Arrested Following Harassment Complaint and Drug-Related Search

A Delight man was arrested on July 21, 2025, after Pike County deputies responded to a harassment complaint and later discovered drug-related items and a firearm at his residence.
Stan Funderburk, 64, was taken into custody following an investigation that began around 7:04 PM, when deputies were dispatched to a local convenience store in Delight. A store employee reported that Funderburk had made inappropriate sexual comments during a previous visit and continued to call the store multiple times, allegedly attempting to obtain the employee’s personal contact information through other staff members. The employee requested that Funderburk have no further contact and expressed intent to press charges.
Deputies later located Funderburk at his residence on Cummings Road. He was advised of the complaint and stated he would no longer contact the employee or return to the store.
According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Funderburk is currently on active parole and has a signed search waiver on file. He gave deputies verbal consent to search the residence. During the search, deputies found a glass pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine inside a living room couch. A syringe with orange caps and a blue marijuana grinder were also discovered in a bedroom nightstand.
In addition, deputies recovered a single-shot 12-gauge shotgun loaded with one live round beneath the bed, as well as a digital scale and a separate shotgun barrel inside a sling-style bag. A clear plastic baggie containing a crystal-like substance—believed to be methamphetamine—was later found on the floor.
Funderburk was transported to the Pike County Jail without incident. He was charged with possession of firearm by certain person, possession of a controlled substance schedule I or II and possession of a drug paraphernalia.
