Dierks City Council

Dierks City Council met Monday evening and began with Mayor Ronnie Cogburn swearing in Susan Boeckman to the board. Boeckman is filling the vacancy created by the recent death of John Sharp. She was appointed to the ward 1 council position. Continuing into session 2 bids were accepted on a culvert project for 2nd street which is in need of replacement. These 2 bids accepted by a company out of Glenwood combine for a total cost of approximately $26,000. After an executive session the council resumed to accept and approve a pay increase for the employees of the water and sewer department that are licensed. Specifically an hourly increase per license held .25 per hour.
