Dierks City Council Reviews Utilities, Approves Purchases and Park Improvements

The Dierks City Council met on Monday to address several routine and new items of city business during their regular monthly meeting.

The council reviewed the annual water and sewer report, which came back with no issues, signaling continued compliance and effective management of the city’s utility systems.

In other business, the council approved the purchase of a new lawn mower for the Street Department to assist with ongoing maintenance and beautification efforts throughout the city.

Progress was also made on improvements to the city park, as council members selected new playground equipment to be purchased through a grant aimed at enhancing recreational opportunities for local families.

Additionally, the council approved a monthly cell phone allowance of $50 each for one water department employee and one sewer department employee to support better communication and responsiveness in city services.
