Dierks Looking At Purchasing Fire Truck

The Dierks Fire Department is looking to purchase a vehicle. Firemen have received city council approval to pursue the 1994 truck through a bidding process contingent upon firemen seeing the vehicle in person and testing it.

The truck is located at Tyler, Texas and if Dierks has the winning bid, firemen say it would be used as a turnout and extraction vehicle that would replace two units currently owned by Dierks.

Firemen say they have already visited with local banks regarding possible financing.
