Dierks Outlaws Host Gurdon Go-Devils Tonight at The Holler

The Dierks Outlaws will welcome the Gurdon Go-Devils to The Holler tonight in a Week 10 matchup with major conference implications, as the Outlaws look to compete for a conference championship and the number one seed.

We recently had the opportunity to speak with Outlaws Head Coach Lantz Castleman, who said it is exciting to reach this point in the season, with Week 10 bringing an opportunity to play for a conference championship and the top seed.

Castleman also talked about the importance of learning from each Friday night experience, saying the team is always looking for ways to grow and improve as the season progresses.

When discussing tonight’s opponent, Castleman emphasized the importance of discipline, particularly across the offensive and defensive fronts.

He added that discipline must carry over into every play, ultimately coming down to the habits the team has developed throughout the season.

Castleman also noted that Gurdon has the ability to get players moving and speed things up, allowing the Go-Devils to control the pace of the game.

The Outlaws head coach also discussed what Gurdon brings offensively, including its cadence and approach, stressing once again that discipline will be key for Dierks throughout the contest.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight at The Holler, and 98.7 The Maverick will have all the live coverage.
