Dierks School Board
The Dierks School Board met this week discussing a number of items. On the agenda was the topic of rezoning as per Arkansas state law. After discussion of options the board members motioned and voted in unanimous fashion on the new school district zone.
Next on the agenda was a motion to extend the licensed and classified personnel’s COVID emergency leave which expired June 30th of this year. The new motion took the current expired policy and modified it to allow for 20 days of leave as compared to the previous 10 with further days allowed under qualifying circumstances. In unanimous fashion the motion was adopted and left active until further board action deemed otherwise.
Last for the meeting was the recommendation of Christmas bonuses to be paid during the November payroll process. The board settled and agreed upon a $1,000 bonus to be paid to all certified and classified staff with the vote passing unanimously.
