Dierks School Board approves $4,500 raise for superintendent
Board members amended the 2021-2022 salary schedule to change Superintendent Jody Cowart’s base salary from $92,259 to $96,759 a year. Jarrod Fannin was named the Athletic Director for the 2021-2022 school year and Crystal Smith was named the District Testing Coordinator. The board also approved the 2021-2022 salary schedule and a $500 non-reoccurring bonus of $500 for all certified and classified staff members.
The Personnel Policy Committee spokesperson, Beth Shelton informed the board that the committee tabled the 4-day school week until more inforatmion can be gathered and a teacher committee can be formed.
Dates for summer school and ACT School were approved. The elementary summer school dates are July 12 through July 23 from 8:30 am to 12:20 pm. The high school summer school for 9th through 12th grade Eglish will be held June 7 -10 and June 14-17. And, the ACT School will be held June 29-July 1 and July 5-8 from 8 am to noon.
Board members accepted a quote from Midwest Bus Sales for a 77-passenger bus for $14,700 per year for 3-years.
The board also heard a report from Michael McGrew from Clark Construction. McGrew said the building was complete and he would be sending a close-out package to the district.
