Dierks School Board Approves Salary Decisions, Personnel Changes at Special Meeting

The Dierks School Board recently held a special called meeting, with all members present except Jeffrey Mounts.
During the meeting, board members approved a $1,000 stipend for the Assistant Track position and set administrative salaries for the upcoming school year. The Elementary Principal salary was set at $80,000, the High School Principal at $85,000, and the Superintendent at $100,000.
The board then adjourned into executive session before returning to open session to take action on several personnel matters.
Board members accepted the resignation of Jason Hardin as an elementary custodian. They also approved the hiring of Danielle Willis as a full-time cafeteria worker for the 2026–2027 school year, following the recommendation of Mrs. Jester.
In addition, the board approved reassigning Paul Ernest as High School Principal under the district salary schedule, as recommended by Mr. Hill. Ernest will also continue serving in his role as Athletic Director and retain that stipend.
The board also approved assigning Lantz Castleman as Head Football Coach, including the associated stipend, based on Superintendent Grover Hill’s recommendation.
